Project description

Complete: Age Friendly Suburbs Program.

The Age Friendly Suburbs Program aims to improve path networks and provide better access for the aged community and those with more specific mobility needs. These improvements benefit all Canberrans.

Improvements have been delivered in 12 suburbs since the program commenced in 2015-16. You can find more details on the previous projects page.

The ACT Government identifies improvements through Fix My Street data and site visits. We also talked to community groups including Council of the Ageing. The community helped prioritise improvements for further investigation in these suburbs in October 2022. See YourSay for more information on the consultation.
