Belconnen

  • ACT parks and reserves: Erosion control works will be undertaken in Aranda Bushland Nature Reserve.
  • Infrastructure projects:
    • Lighting improvements, Florey and Page: Construction has started from Summerville Crescent near Tunney Crescent, through the underpass under Southern Cross Drive towards Burkitt Street. Works are expected to be completed by September 2026.

Central Canberra

  • ACT parks and reserves: Rabbit control continues at Mt Pleasant. Please keep dogs on a leash and give contractors a wide berth.
  • Horticultural maintenance: 
    • Deakin, Griffith and Yarralumla shops
    • O’Connor parks and Downer laneways.
  • Infrastructure projects:
    • Garden City Cycleway: Construction works are ongoing on Cooyong Street, Braddon. Lane closures and permanent lane configuration works are in place. All works will be completed by late 2026.
    • Lighting improvements, Deakin: Preliminary works have commenced in the car park at Deakin 2 sports oval on Makin Place. All works will be completed by October 2026.
    • Road rehabilitation, Fyshwick: Pavement rehabilitation works at Wiluna Street and Lithgow Street are nearing completion, with only line marking remaining.

  • NBN upgrades: Forrest, Deakin, Griffith, Narrabundah and Red Hill.
  • Road closures:
    • Knowles Place in Acton will be closed on Sunday 26 July 2026 from 7 am to 6 pm for resurfacing, weather permitting. West Row southbound will be closed at Alinga Street, and Knowles Place southbound will be closed between London Circuit and Edinburgh Avenue. Access to Odgers Lane will be maintained during these works.
    • From Monday 27 July 2026, 2 new bus stops will open on the new section of London Circuit east between Constitution Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue.
    • There will be lane closures on Parkes Way westbound over Wendouree Drive on Monday 27 and Tuesday 28 July 2026 between 9:30 am and 4 pm.
    • Sections of Capital Circle and State Circle will be closed nightly between 8 pm and 7 am until August 2026 for road maintenance. Please allow for extra travel time and follow detour signage in the area. For more information, visit the National Capital Authority website.

Gungahlin

  • ACT parks and reserves:
    • Track maintenance is underway and replacement gates are being installed in Mulligans Flat.
    • Stock fencing is being repaired in Gungaderra in preparation for the Bushfire Operations Program grazing schedule.

  • Trees:

  • Weed management:

Tuggeranong

  • ACT parks and reserves: Pine Island central toilet block is closed until late July 2026. Visitors can access the southern toilet block during this period.
  • Horticultural maintenance:
    • Kambah shops
    • Banks and Conder open spaces
    • Calwell and Theodore underpasses.
  • Infrastructure projects:
    • Monaro Highway upgrade: Temporary traffic lights are in place northbound at the intersection of Monaro Highway and Lanyon Drive. During off-peak hours on weekdays, both northbound and southbound carriageways on the Monaro Highway may be reduced to one lane.

Woden, Weston Creek and Molonglo

  • ACT parks and reserves: Fences are being removed at Bluetts Block to improve safety for wildlife and visitors.
  • Horticultural maintenance: Swinger Hill and Wright open spaces.
  • Infrastructure projects:
    • William Hovell Drive duplication: Concrete barriers are in place along the 4.5 km work area, along with reduced speed limits and traffic management measures. There is no pedestrian access at the current roundabout on William Hovell Drive, Drake-Brockman Drive and Kingsford Smith Drive. Pedestrian detours are in place to Belconnen Way, Kingsford Smith Drive, Murranji Street and Florina Place. There is no parking and no access to Kama and The Pinnacle nature reserves from William Hovell Drive. The Bicentennial National Trail underpass is closed.

  • Ponds maintenance: Silt and debris removal at the Wyndham Avenue retention ponds in Denman Prospect continues until Sunday 30 August 2026, weather permitting.

Rural

  • ACT parks and reserves:
    • Booroomba Rocks Road: Closed until further notice due to adverse weather conditions. For more information, contact the Namadgi Visitor Centre on 02 6237 5307 or email namadginationalpark@act.gov.au.
    • Gibraltar Falls: Viewing platform and walking track closed while safety upgrades are completed.
    • Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve: Minor works are underway at Sheedys picnic area, including the construction of a shelter over the barbecues. Please follow signage. There are barbecues available nearby and at Webbs picnic area.
    • Woods Reserve campground: Closed until late spring 2026 while facilities are upgraded.
