Note: applications for charitable organisation landfill fee exemptions are reviewed on an annual basis. Fee exemption applications must be submitted by 30 May each year. If the application form is not received by this deadline your application will not be processed.
Until your application is reviewed, your organisation may utilise the Territory’s waste management sites as per normal. We accept EFTPOS or credit card (Visa and Mastercard).
No mid-cycle applications will be accepted, and ACT NoWaste will only process one exemption annually. Approved exemptions for registered charities will commence on 1 July and end on 30 June of the following year. A breach of conditions may lead to the termination of a fee exemption.

Fees and charges
Waste charges in the ACT are designed to encourage greater use of recycling services by moving to a user-pays system that recognises the true costs of waste disposal.
Some materials will incur a fee and some are free of charge to drop off. Please refer to the waste and recycling fees brochure (PDF 281KB) or the fee and charges page for all waste disposal charges.
