Abandoned bin

The abandoned bin form is used to report an abandoned ACT Government waste, recycling or garden organics bin/hopper within the Territory’s geographical boundaries.

If you notice that a bin has been placed on your property that does not belong to your residence, or if there is an ACT Government-owned bin abandoned on public land (e.g. a park, school grounds, urban green space etc), report it using this form.

ACT NoWaste will investigate your request and our contractor will remove the abandoned bin.

You can report an abandoned bin anonymously.
